OUR TEAM

Kieran Stanbridge

Founder

Kieran is an experienced senior leader, having previously worked for brands such as The Diana Award, The Royal Kennel Club, Crufts, and YuMOVE. He founded our Foundation, developed its brand identity, and, as Chairman of our Board of Trustees, he steers the organisation with vision and purpose, ensuring it fulfils its mission and achieves meaningful impact for serving and retired police dogs.

JENNY PRESTON

Trustee

Jenny served as a police dog handler with Kent Police for nearly 20 years, working alongside her dogs Jabba, JJ and Ronnie. She began volunteering with the Foundation in 2022 and joined the Board of Trustees in 2025. As a trustee, Jenny manages the Foundation’s online store and represents the organisation at public events, contributing her expertise and passion to our mission.

Simon Mapstone

Simon has been a property lawyer since 1981, specialising in the high-end property market, in particular, in London. He is recognised as a Band 1 lawyer in Chambers High Net Worth, and has also been acknowledged by Legal 500. Having been introduced to the Foundation by a colleague, he is deeply passionate about the role of police dogs and the importance of supporting them in retirement.

TRUSTEE

Diane worked in policing for more than 32 years and recently retired from her role as Sussex Police Chief Inspector where she was lead for response policing across East Sussex. For a decade she worked as Inspector within the Surrey and Sussex Joint Dog Unit. She is passionate about the welfare of police dogs and their handlers, and owns and trains two working cocker spaniels who are both wellbeing support dogs for the police. 

Trustee Lyndsay Hughes

TRUSTEE

Lyndsay Hughes RVN is a veterinary nurse with over 20 years’ experience, and the British Veterinary Nursing Association President. She has close family ties with policing – her father, father-in-law and husband all having served as police officers – and has supported a number of service dogs during her career. She shares her home with a cat, tortoise and two rescue dogs, Taffi and Dottie, and is looking forward to bringing her veterinary expertise into this role.

Amy Ockelford

PR & Communications

Amy has worked in the media industry for 15 years, both in journalism and PR, and is very experienced working in the charity sector, particularly within animal welfare. She’s particularly passionate about dogs, animal rescue work, and working dogs. Amy helps to spread the word of the Foundation’s work through the media, as well as sharing the amazing stories of the incredible dogs we support.

We launched the Thin Blue Paw Awards as a way to celebrate and pay tribute to the incredible bravery and outstanding dedication of our police dogs and their handlers.
