Last week we were very excited to take our team and three of the retired police dogs we support to the media launch of Netflix’s new police movie, Havoc.
Our Chairman Kieran and Comms Officer Amy were invited to a fancy Soho hotel for the busy two-day promotional event to help create a fun film with the movie’s star, Tom Hardy.
Rob and RPD Neo travelled from Humberside, Darren and RPD Gilly from Leicestershire, and Julia and RPD Bear came from Sussex to help online media platform VT with their interview with Tom, who is known for his love of dogs.
Neo, Gilly and Bear delivered golden envelopes to Tom sharing their stories and asking him a question about his life, career and the movie.
Kieran said: “We were honoured to be invited by Netflix to help with the press junket for the new movie, Havoc, and were really excited to introduce Neo, Gilly and Bear to Tom, and tell him more about our work supporting retired police dogs.
“The dogs had a great time and were given five star treatment during their visit to London – although we apologise to the sound engineers and recordists who were trying to work with a lot of background noise!”
Kieran added: “We’d like to thank Netflix and VT for inviting us to be part of this, and to Tom and his team for having such fun with Neo, Gilly and Bear – and for all of the treats!
“We’re really grateful to have had the opportunity to highlight the amazing work these dogs do to a new, global audience.”
You can see the full video on VT.
Havoc is streaming on Netflix from 25 April.
