The Foundation helped a Scottish family facing a large vet bill for their retired police dog at the same time they lost their pet.
We helped Helen when her 12-year-old German Shepherd Hopi had a lesion on her leg that needed urgent treatment, costing more than £700.
Hopi and Helen worked together for the Ministry of Defence Police for seven years.
The Foundation has helped RPD Hopi on several occasions and, in the run-up to Christmas, was there to support her again when she needed it.
At the time, Helen and her family were facing vet bills for their pet dog dog, collie Jack, as well as their cat.
Helen said: “I want to express my sincere and utmost thanks to the Thin Blue Paw Foundation for assisting with Hopi’s recent vet bills.
“I am so grateful for the support at a time when we had massive vet bills for our family cat and my pet dog Jack. Unfortunately I had to make the decision to have Jack put to sleep, I am gutted to lose him but the charity really helped during such a difficult time.”
Hopi has returned home and is doing really well.
