We were delighted to have a stand at Crufts this year and spent four days at the NEC in Birmingham spreading the word about our vital work.
Crufts – organised by The Kennel Club – is the world’s largest dog show and has been running since 1891.
The Foundation was lucky enough to first exhibit at Crufts in 2023 and, this year, we returned thanks to our incredible corporate partner, Animal Friends Insurance, who sponsored our stand.
Foundation Chairman Kieran Stanbridge said: “Crufts is such a wonderful event and we feel lucky to have had the opportunity again to exhibit here, and have the chance to meet so many dog-lovers over the four days.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing friends at Animal Friends Insurance for sponsoring our stand and for everything they do for us and for retired police dogs.
“We love going to public events like this so that we can showcase our work and hopefully inspire more people to support us and help these heroic dogs.”
Trustee Gemma Wardell added: “We were joined by some of our colleagues in the police as well as serving and retired police dogs and their owners to help us spread the word about our work and highlight the incredible work of police dog units.
“We’d like to thank PC Tatton, PC Smith and PD Charlie from Staffordshire Police; PC Sewell and RPD Gilly from Leicestershire Police; PC Matthews, PD Duke, PC James and RPD Neo from Humberside Police; and RPD Pacer from Thames Valley, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Joint Dog Section.
“We’d also like to thank owners Peter and Claire for bringing their dogs RPD Orson and RPD Sox, as well as all of our volunteers who joined us on the stand.”
