FIND OUT MORE ABOUT RETIRED POLICE DOG ELI
RPD Eli spent nine years working with the Ministry of Defence Police as a general purpose dog. For four years she was partnered with Elly Walters before retiring in 2023.
Elly said: “Eli was a dedicated police dog, driven by a deep desire to please. With a single command she would launch herself into any situation without hesitation, she was utterly committed to the job and the people she served.
“Eli took to retired life beautifully, embracing it like a duck to water. Her favourite part of the day was coming home, curling up by the log burner, knowing she was safe, loved and home.”

“Together we adventured through Wales, the Peak District and Dorset, and even made a stop at the zoo!” Elly added.
Sadly, at just 10, Eli passed away in October 2025.
Elly said: “The vet discovered Eli’s spleen was enlarged, causing repeated bloating. During one episode, her lactate levels rose dangerously high and we were told her organs had begun to fail.
“I wish I had joined the Foundation earlier as Eli would have been proud to stand as an ambassador for a charity that is so close to our hearts.”
