HOW WE’VE HELPED RETIRED POLICE DOG MAX IN RETIREMENT
RPD Max was a search and detection dog with the Ministry of Defence Police before he retired and was adopted by Andy Mossman.
When Max unexpectedly went lame on his front leg, Andy took him to the vets where he was referred for scans which found he had fissures (cracks) in both elbows requiring surgery and bilateral screw implantation.
Andy said: “This all happened quite fast but Max returned home and soon looked a lot happier in himself.”

Andy added: “The procedure was expensive and the Thin Blue Paw kindly made a generous contribution to getting Max back to doing what he loves best; being ball crazy!
“Max recovered well after his procedure and was soon back to his lovely, bouncy, mad-as-a-box-of-frogs self!
“Thanks for all the important work you do at the Thin Blue Paw to get our retired dogs happy, well and back to enjoying his retirement. We appreciate your support.”
