FIND OUT MORE ABOUT RETIRED POLICE DOG ZIVA
RPD Ziva joined Police Scotland in 2016 as a seven-week-old puppy and was matched with PC Janet Findlay.
Janet said: “She was a feisty pup, confident in everything she approached.”
She undertook training and was licensed as a general purpose dog in 2017 at 11-months-old.
Janet added: “During her service Ziva carried out numerous searches / tracks for missing persons and criminals throughout the west of Scotland.

“She was public order trained, attending football matches and providing assistance for divisions across Scotland.”
Ziva retired in 2021 as Janet retired after 30 years in the police service. The duo live together with fellow RPDs Frodo and Diesel, all of whom are supported by the Foundation.
Janet added: “Ziva is happiest with her ball on a rope stuck in her mouth as she goes for long walks or swims.
“Her morning ritual is rolling about in the morning grass I think that’s what keeps her so young looking!”

“The Thin Blue Paw has helped my other dogs, RPDs Frodo and Diesel, and removed any worry from myself for the costs of their treatment.“
