FIND OUT MORE ABOUT RETIRED POLICE DOG MAX
RPD Max came from a kennels in Surrey before joining the RAF Police as a vehicle search dog.
He joined handler Becky Greenfield at the age of five and the two worked together for over two years before he medically retired to live with her and her other retired working dog, Tyson.
Becky said: “Max was a bold, stubborn, slow but extremely confident vehicle search dog. He always worked at his pace but he never missed a thing.
“Although I didn’t work with him for long he ended his career with me.”

Now 11, Max has some health problems.
Becky said: “Max has arthritis and spondylitis in his rear end but he does his best to try to keep up with Tyson.
“Max is independent and prefers laying alone but after his breakfast he likes to join me in bed for a lazy morning and a cuddle!
“Max loves the beach and it’s the only place he gets the full zoomies!
“He and Tyson come everywhere in the van with me, we’ve had many trips together since their retirement.”

“The Foundation is important to us because with pre-existing health issues they would both be expensive to insure. Registering with the Thin Blue Paw relieves a lot of stress.“
